Torrential Downpour

...is what we're experiencing. Needless to say, we didn't go to Morning Out at Sugarbush Park today. We did, however, venture out to the library. Bad idea. We made it there and back, but we had to spend some extra time in the car while waiting for some of the rain to die down. And it was extremely difficult to see the lines on the road!

Today I am thankful for my new red shoes, a large stack of library books, my wonderful son who takes naps most days, my husband who lets me have some time to myself and watches Christopher, the rain that waters my tomato plant and geraniums, my own dryer for our soaking clothes, generous members of the Ann Arbor University Ward, the postman who brings me wonderful packages from other crafty friends containing tons of paper goodies, and e-mail that allows me to keep in touch with my friends who have moved to various corners of the earth.

I am also very grateful for email -- and technology in general -- which allows me to keep in touch with far away friends and family (while meanwhile letting me make new friends, too!).

Brave you for venturing out in torrential midwestern rain! I'd have just as soon stayed inside and watched it from the window. :)
