The Evil Bathtub
Apparently the bottom of the tub has taken to retaining soap or was just slimey today. I now have a bump on my shin that threatens to turn black soon. Guess we may have to clean it again...or maybe some of those silly no-slip shapes would do the trick. I'm not keen on falling in the shower again. Reminded me of those commercials for the devices you wear around your neck that you can use to alert someone when you've "fallen and can't get up". Maybe pregnant ladies should have them, too! (Documented fact: Pregnant women have a hard time adjusting to the dramatic change in center of gravity.)

Chasing an Invisible Moose

Okay, so there was a moose...at the beginning of our adventure. After that, just moose tracks. Sad. I had never seen a moose in real life before. And one moose so very far away hardly counted...so I spent the whole day holding everybody up and calling to the meeses under my breath. "Here, meeses...where are you?" Pretty silly...but I only said it out loud a few times. Too bad I failed to have my camera ready for the one time a moose came crashing through the bushes towards me while I was alone...oh wait, that was Steve making antlers with his fingers and grunting rather un-moose-like. It would have made for a great photo!

Wiggly, Wiggly Baby
Yesterday Dr. Dayton told me I'd probably be feeling the baby "wiggle" before the next appointment. Indeed. He/she's been wiggling for about a week now. Any seemingly random giggles from me are a result of the wiggly baby tickling me from the inside. It will be nice to finally "see" the wiggly baby at the ultrasound next month. July 12th for those that want to know the exact day of this momentous occasion. The perfect birthday present.

Pants
I have to go pants shopping today. Ugh. It's not fun...ever! This time should be much more amusing than usual...given the baby belly that sticks out and the extra "padding" on my already-too-large hips. :) Thank heavens for friends...meaning girls that are willing to endure the humiliation with you. As much fun as Steve would have waiting for me to try pants on and actually find some I don't hate...I'm sure he has better things to be doing. Too bad we pregnant women can't wear pajamas the whole 9 months! That would be some fashion statement. Oh wait...I wear PJs for most of the day...even to the store...

Another Fat Day
I getting really sick of looking/feeling fat. I've never been that skinny, but this is rediculous. Going to the doctor is depressing. For once in my life I actually know how much I weigh. While I won't share that number with you, I will say that by the time this is all over I will officially weigh a good deal more than Steve. Ugh. That's disgusting. He keeps reminding me it's all for a good cause. If I were having twins, I would give myself a little less grief. I really can't wait to look pregnant enough that the whole world knows, not just my family and close friends who see me frequently enough to see the changes. So, today is yet another Fat Day- a day on which no matter how much or how little I eat/keep down, I still feel and look rediculously rotund. Hooray for being short and round!
