Weather
Yesterday it was 57 degrees...and fairly sunny. Last night it rained all night...and now it's beginning to snow. Ugh. Big, fat flakes. Nice to look at, but I was looking forward to being able to take Christopher outside. Oh well. Maybe in Nashville this weekend.

The Last Couple Days

1. Valentine's Day: Steve took me to Eliane's French Bakery Tuesday for a treat (une charlotte au citron avec des fraises) and some bread. I saw des madeleines and told him that I really wanted to find the molds to make them myself. So, while I was home with the baby that afternoon, Steve went looking for the molds! (I thought he was in the lab.) He called after about three hours to let me know he was coming home without his prize. I had no idea what he was looking for. After a bit he went out again and found it. He couldn't wait to show me, so I got to open my Valentine's surprise a little early. Yesterday Christopher and I put some Superman valentines all over the doors in the apartment. The best part about the Superman valentines? They come with tattoos! I took some pretty bad photos of Christopher wearing one and posing with the frog I gave Steve. (The frog makes kissing sounds and says "i love you, i love you"...I think Christopher finds it more funny than Steve does.) After the photo session, Steve came home and I made some madeleines. Yum!
2. I won the new Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD from Good Things Utah...it has songs from Broadway...can't wait to pick it up!
3. Luau rehearsals are going well...it's going to be a great last year. Go Hawaii Section!!! Christopher slept all night and didn't wake up until I'd already been home from rehearsal for 40 minutes. Yeah! This just might work out better than I had hoped.

Trolley Square
Last night it was very difficult to watch anything other than the news...24 and Heroes were on, but somehow the few minutes that aired weren't nearly as important or attention-grabbing as what was happening at Trolley Square in SLC. I think I feel the worst about the children that are emotionally traumatized this morning after what their parents had hoped would be a safe and pleasant FHE. Thankfully there weren't as many deaths as were originally reported.

Screaming Baby
It's 6:30am...and Christopher is finally quiet...although not sleeping. He hadn't had any screaming fits all week!!! His shots on Thursday weren't even that bad...just a little fussing and squirming, but no screaming. Not real sure what's wrong...he doesn't seem to be in pain...and when I do manage to get him to sleep he doesn't stay asleep very long...and he refuses to breastfeed on my right side (he's never done that before)...lots of screaming and thrashing. At this rate I'm going to spend the day a little lopsided. But, I'm determined to "win this battle".

Our Day So Far

Christopher had his 2 month immunizations this afternoon. Unfortunately he wasn't a happy camper before we even got there! It was a little rough, but he seems inclined to sleep it off. I'm all for that! Last night was a bit hard...getting Steve ready to go to Penn and trying to keep Christopher relatively clean, fed, and happy. Christopher and I managed to sleep for abour 4-5 hours...but we didn't go to sleep until almost 6am! I'm just so glad Katelyn is staying with us while Steve is gone...and equally glad we'll be going with him to Nashville later this month!
Photo: Last night we wanted to see if Christopher was big enough to fit into the carrier we have...he isn't quite big enough, but it's a lot better than a month ago!
